Got a diagnosis? Got a story? I’m all ears.
A diagnosis can be a show stopper. A jaw dropper. A very isolating moment.
But some people take that moment and turn it into something. They follow the treatment plan they’re given, then keep asking questions, researching and trying new things, until they’re back in the driver’s seat of their own health.
That’s who I’m looking for. On In the Driver’s Seat (BayFM), I talk with people about their initial prognosis, what they decided to do next, and the colourful myriad of things they did to manage and treat themselves both in and outside of the traditional approaches to healing and health.
Who I’m looking for
- People who have been through a diagnosis and the treatment they were first offered
- People who then explored other ways of looking after their health, conventional, unconventional, or both
- People who are in a good place now and happy to share how they got there, honestly and in their own words
You don’t need to be a public speaker or have it all figured out. You just need to be willing to trust me and tell your story.
What it involves
- Format: a relaxed conversation, [length, e.g. around 30 minutes]
- Where: [in the studio at BayFM / by phone or video call / either]
- Before we start: I’ll send you and email and chat with you first so you know what we’ll cover, and nothing goes to air that you’re not comfortable with
- Afterwards: you’ll receive a link to your episode and a short clip to share with your tribe.
A note on what the show is
Every episode is one person’s story and personal experience. It’s not medical advice, and nothing on the show is a recommendation to stop or change your treatment. The conversations extract the gold of lived experience which in no way is meant to diagnose or prescribe for another’s experience.
Please talk to your own health professionals before making any decisions about your care.
